I don't think we can overestimate how important it was for Kane to come in new as a team leader yet still be such a team player.

Look at all the different personalities that have gelled in recent years. Hoping it will continue, but can't take it for granted.

Hawkeye fans have expectations for their teams, and a big part of the reason it's so easy to make fun of them is that the Hawkeyes seldom live up to their fans' lofty goals. Raise your hand if you know a hok who used the terms "dark horse Final Four team" or "conference title contender" at some point during this past basketball season. Does that make you LOL? Me too.

Althought I agree with you, there were some basketball analysts that were really high on Iowa mid-way through the season last year. Lucky for us ISU fans, they had an epic collapse.
