While the loss stung, I am relieved for this team and their effort and character today. These last couple games have been incredible in terms of our ability to put up a fight.

We are on the up and up folks I can see it. Trust the process. Improvements are being made. Same cant be said about a certain other school in the state.

Tremendous effort from the whole team. I dont see this as a moral victory rather than a foreshadowing our potential. We kept it close with Baylor. If you told me this the last few years or even after the Iowa and UNI losses this year I would of called b.s.

We are turning this ship around. Games are exciting and worth watching, we are on the cusp of something special which is something we couldnt always say about our football team. Yes we are 1-5, but today just shows that this team has a lot of fight in them.

Uh, we're 1-4, not 1-5.

*1-4. But surprisingly enough I agree. It appears that we've pitched the plays that aren't working on offense and the defense looks to be better fundamentally than we were under Rhodes. We seem to be learning at the very worst. No idea if it will result in any more wins but we're certainly closer to fielding a competitive team than we were when the season started

We have a lot of positive things going for us. If they keep improving they will win some games

I just wanted the guys to get a win today, for the most part they really deserved it.

I hope they take the right approach from this loss and realize just how far they've come in a few weeks and that they can play with ANYONE in this conference, and that they don't get too defeated from it.

The improvement is evident. They are on there way to being competitive. The hardest part will be learning how to win the 4th quarter.

Not sure what you mean about our defense being better fundamentally than we were under Rhoads. This was the worst defensive performance I've seen in years. This was a very atypical game against Baylor in that there was a small amount of possessions and they still racked up over 600 yards.

Really this season hasn't been any different so far than the past three years including this game. What has me excited though, is how evident the improvements are each week (minus the Iowa game). Another big plus is our offense was absolutely unreal for the whole game until the no call on the offsides. If that's who we really are then that's ******* awesome.

Loss stung but the pain was worth it. I honestly can't remember the last time I had that much fun watching ISU play football. Bring that effort and swagger every week and we've got a few more wins in us at least.

Only disagreed because I do not agree that it was worth it. Guys played above board for 3 quarters. That 4th quarter was not deserving of the preceding 3. They played awesome for 3 quarters. Not enough. And I'm not sorry.

Unfortunately, I've heard this story before.
I hate to be Debbie Downer, but when moral victories start turning into real victories, I'll believed we turned the corner.

Sorry, but this is one game, been here too many times in the past, to believe anything has changed.

I think the defense looks better but just doesn't have the horses talent wise. Coverage seems much better and I like the line play for the most part. Linebacker is a weak point and that's where they beat us.

Offense looked dynamic for most of the game and at times stunning. I love the motion and how the play-calling seemed to keep Baylor off-balance. It was a good combination of unpredictable and ball-control. Zero turnovers, a few penalties but nothing awful.

I still say, though, you've gotta win these types of games. Nobody wins those every time, especially as an underdog, but being a TD or 2 ahead nearly the entire game, don't let it slip away.

Quite a bit has changed since the first couple games whether or not you want to believe it. If you mean change as in us winning many more games than the last few years, it most likely won't happen but its year 1. Campbell is changing the culture and doesn't seem to be cutting any corners so it will take time. Being competitive against a really good team is a step in the right direction. If we keep getting better and competing, I'll be happy. If we're in the same spot in year 4, my tune will definitely change.

We are a few good recruits away from bowling. Not a few 5 star recruits, but just a couple of young starters and a little depth.

Last year we were far away.

This year we are close, Clones. Close!!!!!!
