This just frustrates me!

Well color me surprised. I've never stayed in a hotel that needed more than 24hrs notice. Was that Ames hotels? They prob know it's a game weekend and change the policy. Stay in dsm and maybe not have the same problem.

Yeah these are all the Ames hotels. Usually every year we have a big family get together at 1 game and a college friends reunion at another and it has always the Monday before. They changed it this year for the K State game and maybe others.

As far as other hotels, I am with you on that one. Usually if you cancel within 24hrs you are good to go.

I think Mizzou is more responsible for all of this. They started courting the Big Ten long before Nebraska was invited. The Big 12 became unstable at that point, and the others got out while they had a chance. Also, in the end, them leaving helped the conference. Its as strong as it ever has been right now.
And if the Big Ten invited us tomorrow, ISU would move heaven and earth to join them. The faculty would hold a parade.

Agree 100% Im not saying Mizzou was wrong, but in the end, they are the ones who started the realignment process by whoring around.

The in-season selection process isn't a new thing. The 12-day/6-day notices have been going on for over a decade now.

While I know that we're looking for all the national and regional tv exposure we can, etc. I'm constantly getting frustrated about how long it takes to get out game times...

Exposure is one thing. The $$ that comes from our TV deal is even more important.

Google the article "The Big 12 Conference should have listened to Kevin Weiberg", it will tell you how Texas, NU etc screwed the Big 12.

Is it me or did that Texas Tech game start hella late last week. It was close to midnight at the half

Unless I was watching on delay...
Yeah, we played on the road, and since CUSA will play games at any time on any day to get on TV, it didn't start until 10 pm. I had to be up for work that morning at 4:30, and didn't get to bed until 3 am. That was pretty horrible.
