This is why Prohm must go........

After having sometime to sleep on it and let my buzz wear off I think my tone has lightened a little bit. In hindsight, it may have been a little harsh to suggest the locks to Prohm's office be immediately changed. We should at least allow him to go in and get his stuff first.

Fred said he would come back??? That shipped sailed when he wanted to leave Ames for the Gophers.

I find it amusing people still pine for Fred, he's made it widely known he has no desire to be in Ames. It's time to move on from thoughts of him. He went to coach BASKETBALL at Nebraska of all places, that should tell you all you need to know about him wanting to be in Ames.

JP the accountant will not fire Prohm after the season. We can only hope there is another Creighton out there that surfaces after Jamie has the 'best interest of both parties' conversation.

I assume it's up to the donors to push, else will take years of giving prohm a chance

I assume one good option would be to hire a consultant to fully evaluate the situation and make recommendations. Not sure we would ever know, but is that done?

I don't think there is much chance of Pollard hiring Fred back, especially if Otz has a decent year at UNLV. Pollard and Otz are very close and don't forget that Pollard at least though Otz was a strong candidate (or outright wanted to hire him) back in 2015.

My guess is Prohm will be here for the 20-21 season, and that would be the first real "warm seat" season for him. The seat would turn hot pretty quickly if both this year and next year are like 17-18.

Iowa State pays Jamie good money to fully evaluate the situation.

If his seat isn't a little warm right now then there needs to be real questions directed at JP.

9-9 in a pretty weak B12 tells us more.

What do you see as a consistent identity in CSP's program?

What do you think he's doing well now?

Whether it's coaching, good recruiting, or lucky recruiting the defining feature of Prohm at ISU and Murray is elite point guard play. Beyond that who knows. He has most likely recruited and coached three unknown recruits into the NBA and guided a fourth he inherited. Pretty much every game he has head coached with a notable exception like last night.

We just saw how bad it can be without that one thing he has consistently had and done well. Having that elite point guard out there probably masks a lot of things.
