They make it so easy...

All this arguing, usually when there is a quarterback controversy, as there apparently was at Iowa last year, people are just quibbling over who is worse between two not very good quarterbacks.

ISU fans are pretty familiar with this. We'll see but I'd bet these Iowa fans will agree with this by the end of the season.

The thing is I think Beathard has some natural talent. I just think it's pretty crazy to say he's so much better than Rudock when Beathard played pretty poorly when he got his chances last season. I hope Beathard is good enough to get Iowa 6 wins this year so KF keeps his job but I honestly would rather face Beathard than Rudock this year as an ISU fan. Our defense is going to have to force turnovers to win games

I never said CJB is head/shoulders better than JR. Their skills are fairly similar, with some exceptions and areas CJ is better. Biggest difference is they way JR bails on plays way too early while CJB doesn't. And didn't you watch the Pitt game? CJB didn't play poorly at all, he played very well when he took over the 2nd half.

Rudock played well in multiple games and you still think he sucked last year. Beathard had only two games where he attempted double digit passing attempts and was awful in both. Small sample size for sure but nothing that would give me much optimism if I was an Iowa fan

Beathard threw 13 more times against Purdue than Rudock did against Iowa State, so yes, Rudock had a higher QB rating for a reason. I don't remember a time where Rudock threw 20 incompletions in one game

Trying to compare a first start against a guy who has started two years is ridiculous, i hope you can see that.

Oh that wasnt that bad. If Rhoades did something like that, you would all be rubbing one out

That makes the Walden/Orr commercials look dignified. Just replace the egg with a big turd.

It was not Rudock's fault Iowa underachieved last year and that will become pretty evident this year IMO. When Iowa lost last year it was put on Rudock, I'm not sure who the scapegoat will be this year.

Last night reaffirmed Rudock was the main problem, the Michigan offense looked just like Iowa's the past two seasons.
Also, if you think Iowa fans were unjustly critical of Rudock you should check out the twitter feeds from Michigan fans after one game. Iowa fans dealt with it for two years.

Can you imagine how bad Iowa's backup was and how bad Michigan's backup now must be for Rudock to be the best option?

The Rudock Transitive Property. Sounds legit.

You're about to see just how wrong you are now that Beathard is the full-time starter for the first time in his career. We've seen Kirk mess that up before, last time the incumbent QB lost his job to his backup and transferred, we started 9-0 and were ranked #4 in the nation.

Well I could totally see that happening again! Steele Beathard will be on Heisman watch if that happens!

Think how bad your program would have to be to lose to that team last year!

Wrong. Think how bad our QB play was. See how inept TCU looked against a BIG defense last night? One that will finish in the middle of the pack. Minnesota could have won last night had they not fumbled at the 1 yard line.
