It's hard for any player to sit out a year, especially after playing a year. We just need to get a good coach in quick and repair alot of damage...
Darks posted a new video on his facebook. He apologized for his comments he made in the earlier videos he wads just doesn't like being lied to. Obviously none of us do. Darks said he doesn't know if hes staying or leaving so you guys might want to show some support. Plus I don't know why everyone is jumping to conclusion about everyone leaving. seriously maybe there is something else about iowa state that appeals to player other than just the coach. All I'm saying is lets not assume that certain people are going to leave when we really have no clue.
I think a lot of this will hinge on who the new coach ends up being. Hopefully we can keep 99% of the players and continue to build.

Good post. Nobody is guaranteed to leave right now, unless their name is Chizik. Everyone has probably thought about it, or said something in anger, but nothing is a guarantee yet.
She did not feed him enough chunky soup or enough veggies because what he did was pretty low down skunklike. Right, Mom?
I agree. Let's lay off the guys. I would be really ticked if I got this news as it hits you hard on a lot of levels.

So I am over that Gene is gone. He's a jerk. I don't want him to ever win a game at Auburn. The thing I care about it WHO is leaving? Is Darks really leaving? Is Bo thinking about leaving? If Bo leaves, would he have to sit ANOTHER year?
How many recruits will say good riddance to us too?

Less people than we think. Everyone is talking about leaving RIGHT NOW
Once this settles down, we hire a new coach, the players will realize that they don't want to sit next year and they would rather play. We will be alright

Bo already pleadged his allegience to GC. But I believe if he leaves he will lose a year. Not just sit, but lose. I would hope that GC recruited some sensible kids that would at least find out who will be coming in and the changes that will be made to staff and systems. Been a rough time to be a Cyclone.:arghh:

These players are young and pissed...once they come to their senses and realize that transfering is really not in their own self interest we should be fine. If other teams/coaches start tampering thought we may be in trouble.
I expect we'll lose a few (but we always lose a few even w/o coaching changes) but once we get our new coach we'll be fine.

This thread is pathetic IMO, emotions are running high let the men settle down and think with a good head on, instead of emotions. I believe many will return, I hope everyone returns, it shows they have committment to Iowa State football and not a quitter. and even more of a man then Gene.
