Assuming ND is unwilling to join a conference unless it absolutely has to, seems like there would be a lot of advantage to signing BYU up now and then waiting for more dominos to fall. If the SEC raids the ACC for a team or three, then they will be unstable. Plus, if that happens as everyone seems to believe they will, then it's hard to imagine a scenario where the Big East doesn't get hit by the ACC and/or Big 10. When it does, and assuming a few teams out of Louisville, Miami, South Florida, West Virginia, North Carolina, Duke, George Tech, Clemson, TCU and Pitt might have gone unpicked, seems like that would be the perfect scneario to pick up 2 more to get the conference back to 12 or go to 14. Even ND might see the writing on the wall and be looking for its best conference option at that point. It's like the conference between the Big 12, ACC and Big East that can stick together will reap the benefits and be the conference that joins the SEC/B1G and Pac 12 in the upper echelon.
