The Big 12 should add BYU, TCU and Louisville or Colorado State.

I know some people have really bagged on Louisville, since they feel that Kentucky is the #1 there. And in basketball, that's true. But Louisville ain't chopped liver on the court, and they have a pretty solid following, even if not as strong as Kentucky. But football? Kentucky football is worthless, always has been. Louisville has had some success there. I do think they would be able to deliver on the market in Louisville.

I'm still holding out for Loras.......or Wartburg if that doesn't work.

I dunno, Loras or Wartburg might be too much too handle for us. But the travel expense would be a pittance. Overall, I prefer BYU and Air Force.

Oops, we need one more to get to 12, don't we? Louisville. Arkansas would be good, but still can't see them leaving the SEC. Especially now that aTm in the SEC would make it a bit easier for the Hogs to get back to recruiting Texas players, like they used to in the old SWC.

BTW, whatever happened to the "rock solid foundation" that the Texas Legislature would never let aTm and UT be separated in conferences? Anything to do with Gov. Perry being an Aggie?

If you could choose (its all hypothetical anyway), why Louisville over another Big East team like Pitt? Pitt has solid academics and good success in football and basketball. They have a medical school that brings in a lot of research money. Plus they are in a talent-rich state for athletes. It is about the same distance from Ames as Austin.

Pitt is clear out in PA. Louisville is only a few hours east of Missouri.

A difference of only about 200 miles. But, as I said, Pitt is about the same distance as the Texas schools.

I would LOVE to add Pitt, Louisville, and BYU.

I'd take any of those. AF has a solid national following. Nothing like the other two but still pretty good.

I'll take 'em, don't get me wrong.

I just don't see them as more beloved than Army or Navy.

I would assume since its a service academy not very great.

Welll techinically AF could sign 100 5* players a year it it is able to.. they don't have athletic scholarships.

I like the Service Academies and all but they usually only attract a certain type of kid. Kids that go to those types of schools go there for a greater purpose.

Not a fan of inviting Air Force. I don't think they have a big following. Unless they went to the Academy, few officers and enlisted follow AF football closely. They do in games against other service academies but not just regular games. The ones I know cheer for their childhood teams.

Few positives to inviting them other than a warm body to fill a void.

I'd actually rather miraculously add ND and then go east with Louisville and Pitt.

Not a fan of Colorado State (other than getting to travel there); BYU, Air Force, and Louisville would be a best case right now, imo.
