This one is not in Iowa, but I wonder if this is what happened to "Shreddy", a destroyed windmill spotted just off I-35 north of Ames...

Semantics but the basketball one seems like a radio broadcast while the baseball one maybe is TV.
A TV basketball broadcast is very similar. It's common to have them go multiple possessions without saying anything at all let alone talking about the present game.
Either way that guy is really good.
