Who do you guys think could be our next Jamal Tinsley? I think the person that has the best chance is Corey Mcintosh. Just like jamal he was a juco all star.

Watching the Capital City League so far, I think each of Corey McIntosh, Dodie Dunson, Mike Taylor and Wesley Johnson could have a shot at being the next Tinsley. All have had a couple great games but I have not seen much yet that seperates any one of them from the rest yet. Hopefully they all are..........

I would say all our guards have looked good so far. If they are all half as good as Tinsley I will be happy. My big concern is our bigs but at least GMAC has a name for developing big guys, let's hope he does his magic with ours.

Jamaal was one of a kind he was an absolute technition with the ball it was like his hand and the ball were one in the same. he would have averaged 20 assits a game had our players not been so amazed by him that they'd stop and stare and then get hit in the chest with the ball before they came out of their trance. I don't know much about these guys but i do know that Jamaal "mel" Tinsley can be put on a pedistal of his own and distinguished as one of the most accomplished point gaurds in ISU history. i hope we will find a guard like Jamaal but ill settle for less because as isuhoops121 said even half of Tinsley's talent is good enough to play well in the big 12

There is no "next Jamaal Tinsley." His combination of strength, speed and court vision along with an unselfish attitude make him a one of a kind player. Cory McIntosh may be an alright pg, but he lacks the strength and size to bean outstanding pg in the big 12. We already have a disclaimer from GMac alluding to that fact.

I think the question is, who will be the next Justice Thigpen. Jamaal is in a world all by himself. We will be truly blessed if we find another like him. So revising the question, maybe McIntosh could be the next Thigpen if we're lucky.

tinsley in a world by himself? he was and is an oustanding player but we can never get any as good as him?

I don't know if there isn't anybody as good as Tinsley out there. He was great, the win/loss record at ISU during his time was excellent, but without Fizer we failed to win a game in the tournament. Tinsley was great, but we'll see other Cyclones come and go and feel the same about them too.

Yeah too often players are always compared to others. Take the NBA right now, D-Wade "the next jordan". Why cant he be the next d-wade?
