The Hype down the Road

I think Iowa will win this one 31-28. We better hope that both Iowa and Texas run the table in their respective conferences. ;)

One thing that noone in the hype machine is talking about, is what effects will Iowa have from playing in about only their 3 night game ever? Kurt Fahrents lives off repetition and predictablity. How will playing at night alter their play. Night games are a totally different atmosphere, and if they arent used to it, that might throw em off more than anything.

These morons are so sheltered, they cant have their Soundoff after the game, its on before?!? I guess ol man Zael cant be out too late, without a change of depends. Why even have it, itll be a bunch of predictions and what ifs. And they also cant Tailgate after the game? We sit in our space for at least an hour at Trice. Its not like weed move anywhere in out car. Thank god im a Cyclone!

score- whatever it is, i hope the Buckeyes cover the spread and blow them out.

I dunno, I always thought perhaps we should consider ourselves THE Iowa State University.... insinuating we are the one true university in this state and EIU is well, just that, EIU. I mean really, besides being a cupcake on football schedules, how often do you hear of the university of ohio? I mean has frank solich really put them on the map yet?
 
I just can't see Iowa keeping up with OSU.

Iowa State and Iowa looked evenly matched in their game. There did not seem to be a gap in the talent of the two teams.

We played Texas and personally, I thought the Longhorns looked a step ahead of us most of the time. They were bigger and faster. The only shot we had at winning that game was to be perfect and hope Texas played sloppy.

Ohio State beat Texas! Iowa is going to be in for a similar experience, in my mind. Iowa needs to be perfect and hope that the Buckeyes screw up at the most opportune times.

Yeah I forgot that Iowa is just terrible in night games I don't think they have aver won a night game. Smith is going to tear Iowa up with the QB draw worse then Meyer did.
 
Actually, Iowa trounced Wisconsin a few years back during a nationally-televised night game... the same year that Wisconsin nearly went 11-0.
 
I just read Wednesday's sports section of the Waterloo,Iowa Courior. There was all kinds of coverage of Iowa and Ohio State of Saturdays game. Not one mention of the Iowa State and University of Northern Iowa game. Northern Iowa was No. 2 and nearly won the championship in its division and certainly U.N. I and Iowa state deserves more respect.Why are U. N. I. and Iowa Stae invisable? Doesn't a second place finish command more respect and attention for the U. N.I and Iowa State football team. No.This is the Hawkeye state and people are heavily biased for Iowa University. Its like U.N. I. is invisable and does not exist.

The athleticism and talent that OSU possesses is going to overwhelm Iowa. We saw how difficult it is to play a team that is fast as hell and can run any number of kids out there without the level of play dropping off. OSU will get its revenge on Iowa City and I'll be laughing at the collapse of Tate's psyche and the ***** and moan session that follows from Iowa fans.
 
I thought the Hawkeyes were just great per their coach and can walk on water at their high #14 ranking while jumping tall buildings just before throwing tantrums. Their players must be chewing Baloney Gum also at times.

However, if EIU plays Ohio State, I totally want them to win. My most despised teams remain at Notre Dame for hogging the NBC airways through the years and Ohio State for begetting Maurice Clarett into an national championship and then throwing him away and moving up, fast arrogant USC who think they are a pro team.

Nah, can't let Iowa win this game. I've got way too many Hawkeye friends that will let this win get to their heads, their heads will grow just like Barry Bonds, then explode and leave a mess. Sorry, I'm lazy to the bone. I don't like cleaning up other people's messes.
 
I think OSU wins comfortably ... but I think Iowa is going to make a game out of it. Regardless of how much fun we make of Tate -- that kid is a player and I would love to have him on my team. He beat us 3 out of 4 and will be the only reason the squaks stay in the game.

What really pisses me off is -- it is like why can Iowa get Gameday and it isn't in our wildest dreams?

We just gotta blow these guys out Saturday. Lets get determined!!!!:frown3qg:
 
I'm sure once we sustain a top 15 ranking we'll be able to host a gameday as well

It is such a big game their announcers are coming on the air at 5:00 to hype it. If Iowa wins, it will be Troy Smith versus Tate for the Heisman with Quinnn a distant third per Birdeye fans.
