Depends on the kids priorities. If his main one is actual basketball development rather than developing his brand then the G League does make a lot of sense.

Nickel and Bowen are both 4 stars according to 247 along with being top 100 players. Mulvey is a 3 star center, but I think he’s going to end up more of a 4 in college, similar to Nunge. Watson is a 4 star and top 110 player, who has offers from Iowa, ISU, Florida, Creighton, Marquette, Mizzou, Minnesota, and Nebraska. Shaver is a 4 star, and is going to be a tough pull for us, but he’s a big fan of Luka Garza and the way Iowa plays. Reed is also a 4 star, and is currently a K-state lean but Iowa is definitely high on his list. Holloman has some big time offers, and it will be a battle the whole way through. Traudt is likely a Creighton guy.

The amount of potential first round picks (according to fans) that have been there over the last 30 years is very impressive.

Iowa wracked up a bunch of wins against sh!tty B1G teams. LOL the conference only had three regional bids. Regional team my a$$.

I think Keegan best days are ahead of him and it won’t be at iowa much longer..

he’s got that body type nba loves.. but he has to shoot much better from 3 and you look at his frosh year and almost all of his points scored are off tip ins or dunks..

I haven’t seen Keegan just take his man off dribble and blow by someone yet. If he didn’t have great length in the arms he’d be at iowa all 4 years and maybe make a G league team IMO..

Wts he does have the length and we will see if his quickness and foot speed improve to get him more nba talk..

Yeah he definitely has certain measurables that the NBA loves but it will be interesting to see how this year goes for him when he's the focus point of the offense.
