Will depend on match up. Iowa fans have to be nervous against any team that can shoot from outside. Garza will get his 20+ but he needs help from the guards. I could see them getting bounced 2nd round to a chance to make Elite 8.
Sweet 16 is doable. Anything past that would be matchup driven and certainly gravy on top.

Anyone who disagrees with this is wrong. Lol.. Of course the Sweet 16 is doable for Iowa this year. The Sweet 16 is doable for a ton of teams this year and has been for a ton of good teams in the past. The great thing about this tournament is that it doesn't matter if you're good or you "should" make it to the Sweet 16 or even if you "should" win the first round.. All it takes is a poor shooting night, foul trouble on a key guy, the other team being on fire, or just pure dumb luck and POOF, you're knocked out of the tournament.
The last two NCAA tournaments for Iowa State, we've had teams that were good enough and capable enough of making a Sweet 16 and if we played well in that game, possibly make an Elite 8. In both cases we ended up losing before the second weekend.
Ceiling is sweet 16/ Elite 8, I can see them bounced in the 1st round.
This is going to be the first year ever they cancel the NCAA tourney altogether and award TWO national championship trophies.

Every game is a grind in the Big10. God I wish Iowa got to play 5 crappy teams 2 times apiece like the Big12.
The Big East had 16 teams compared to the Big 10s 14 this year. Dang that is impressive for the B1G this year.
How does a major conference not a have a team in the top 8? 20% of the Big 12 is in the top 4!
I know you're trolling, but the Big 12 has been one of the toughest conferences in the nation almost every single year before this one per KenPom. Congratulations on the one year the Big 10 is better.
It also sounds like you're saying Iowa is better than Baylor and KU.. Are you saying that?
The Big 12 has 20% in the top 25, OUCH that is a bad league this year.
I wouldn't argue at all about Kansas and Baylor being top 4 teams. They are both really good. I also think that they both would have a couple more losses if they played in the BIG 10 THIS year. The Big 10 is deeper this season than usual obviously. Probably will take a step back next season. It's ups and downs for every conference. Look at the ACC.

Such a gauntlet this year. Hard to have teams go unscathed. Put Baylor in the Big 10 and they would have six losses.
