I'm around a lot of Iowa fans that all went to Iowa or still go to Iowa, but I get what you're saying. I meant it more from the perspective that you always hear AD's, coaches, fans, players of schools claiming their fans are the most loyal.

I think that for the most part, most fan bases are loyal, especially the ones that don't continuously have great success. I'd love to see how loyal Ohio State or Alabama fans would be if their football teams were consistently having 8-4 seasons.

I get what you meant. Almost every Iowa fan I know did NOT go to Iowa except for maybe 1 who was a student athlete.

Lol and I immediately said that what I said was wrong and didn't think critically enough. I was thinking about teams like Gonzaga and Baylor who don't technically need Garza because they're obviously doing just fine and are better than Iowa. BUT, they'd be even better with Garza and that's why my logic was off.
 
I'm relatively young and I've noticed that the Iowa fans that actually went to Iowa, are the least likely ones to troll you. Sure they'll give you s*** and stuff but that's all part of the rivalry. The fans that claim they're die hard Hawkeye fans yet can't name a building on campus, while simultaneously trolling and going on ISU message boards all day are the ones I have the most problems with.

And yes, there are fans like this for every single school. They're called Wal-Mart fans. Iowa just happens to have more of them compared to Iowa State.

I'd rather Iowa State win a game and lose money yes. Some of the biggest Iowa fans I know are on Ohio State +5.5 tonight. The same ones all took Gonzaga when they played Iowa too
