The Fran fade

There are kooks in every fan base.

All joking aside it's unfortunate they didn't get to play in the tournament. That's months of buildup for it to just end like this. It does just stink for everyone involved. I feel it for Iowa State's women's team. It's just hard to not be able to go out on your own terms, prepared for it to be your last game.

There's also no reason for people to be touchy on here. The "Iowa still hasn't won a BTT game" etc. is just good-natured fun. Lord knows we can use some of that right now.
True. ***** getting real...everybody is gonna need a few laughs the next few weeks

At least ISU women can say they have bragging rights on Baylor for a few more months now.

Have a friend in that is an ISU trainer and they said JP sent out an email saying that due to the situation that don't count on any type of salary increased and budgets would be affected. I'm sure every AD is trying to get a grasp on all sports that affect each university now. NCAA folks probably trying to unravel this along with worrying about their own health at the same time as the COVID-19 continues to grow.

Supposed to help at a Fish Fry tonight that has local senior citizen retirement centers that bring in people. Last week we had it the place was wall-to-wall people. Wondering how attendance will be affected with with older generation and if we still even have it.

You have to have CSP for the foreseeable future, however. Good luck CyBros. You're gonna need it.
It was a disappointing season to be sure. CSP may still be able to turn it around, however. It remains to be seen - but he has accomplished more at ISU in a shorter time span that Mad Fran - that much is true.
Addressing the tone of your post, I see you are still lookin' for that elusive validation from Big Brother. #HokInsecurity.
Well, at least you can take solace in the fact that your team will avoid that annual failure in the conference tourney and the disappointment of NOT making it to the Sweet 16 (don't you long for the days of Dr Tom?). OR, maybe you can hang your 2020 Virtual NCAA Tourney Championship banner next to your NCAA "play-in game" participation ribbon and "Not Invited Tourney" second-place trophy (Baylor just dunked again).

I can't link Twitter at work, but saw that Ryan Kriener is taking credit for winning a natty this year. Not very surprising or newsworthy, but figured I'd share. Maybe someone with the ability can link the tweet for a good laugh.

Since Twins made his MadFran Fade post on 2/3, the hoks went 4-5 and dropped eight spots in the AP.

Fran faded. Again.

10+ players in the NBA and 2 Conference Tourney titles in 5 years for Prohm. Not that I would expects a Squawk fan to know how good it feels to win a conference tournament. But, yes as bad as this season sucked I'd still rather have Prohm than Mad Fran. If Garza does not come back next year Hawks will be back to middle of conference at best.

Wellness call for @CyTwins
I was driving South of Carroll the other day on HWY 71 and saw minivan down by the river, so maybe Twins has gone on a some sort of a mission/sabbatical trip and living off the land. I was running late so I didn't stop to see if it was really him or not. Van did have ISU plates on it though.

When does the Garza watch start?
The thing is, I think he WILL come back. He has proven to be a very, very good college player (much to my surprise), but he would get completely eaten alive by any of the bigs in the league. He is WAY TOO SLOW to keep up with the likes of Gobert, Adams or Harrell. In fact, even 2nd-string guys like Plumlee, Len or Ilyasova would be too much of a handful for him. He definitely could do okay in the G-League vs players like Woodbury, however.
He may yet prove me wrong but, right now, he lacks athleticism and elite multidimensional skill in order to make it in the league. I fully expect him to be back at Iowa next year.
