The Coaching Turnaround Has Been Drastic

I would guess even if there was a sliver of hope for his return Rocco's emergence has all but closed the door on that. Hard enough to come back after the gambling stuff, he's not going to want to ride the pine behind Rocco.

Something tells me if the team voted on it, Becht would be the guy.

Announcers - Rocco takes the snap, surveys, he's got Higgins deep. What's this? Rocco is asking to be taken out of the game, ohhhhhh there's a giant brown stain on his butt and running down his leg. I guess it wasn't a good day to wear the white pants.
Could be an advantage. Tacklers would be avoiding certain angles on him.

That could be the case. My assumption is that JJ wasn't playing garbage time so they could keep his redshirt intact. I hope you're right. That would be great if he was making strides too.

I’m surprise that if this is the case they haven’t put the juco in for garbage time

It's like the opposite of last year where Deckers was a step behind on reads all year.
Just going to point out. Rocco’s pass protection this year has been FAR better than Hunter got. Matter of fact, it got worse as the year went along.

So it’s hardly a surprise that Rocco is progressing where Hunter didn’t.

Hunter’s many problems were not due to a lack of protection. It wasn’t the primary cause, Hunter made poor decisions. Turned the ball over. Rocco is much better.

Rocco has been solid in controlling the offense. Even in the losses, he was not the problem. His receivers are getting better too

Is it him or the receivers? Or Both at the same time?

As much as I am a Hunter fan, Let’s not forget that his primary receiver is in the NFL.

Anyone who said "hot seat" please go kick yourself in the nuts
Anyone who is somewhat connected to ISU football and knows how Jamie Pollard manages knew CMC was never on the hot seat. If we had another 3 win season this year and next year, that would have been a different story.

We didn't seem to have as much success running the ball against Cincinnati compared to the last few games. I think Cincinnati was considered pretty stout against the run so I'm not really worried about it.
