Thanksgiving food sins thread

Old timers. Usually it’s the grandparents.

It’s the shredded carrots not whole ones.
Agreed. Or old bananas in there too. I think it came from the depression or something. It’s really wrong
 
Had the jello with shaved carrot growing up (lime and orange was the best). Had jello with sliced bananas as well - not my favorite but still ok.

Gonna catch some flack as I am not a Thanksgiving purist (been known to do prime rib or even a brisket one year), but the green bean casserole and scalloped corn can GTFO.
 
I’d take fruit over veggies in my jello any day. Bleh

Right on! Cooking a turkey is a pain, and most Thanksgiving sides (besides mashed potatoes) are nasty. We are travelling, but our host is having parmesan crusted chicken this year which sounds great to me!
