After the performance last night by the team there's no reason to post anymore.

Feel free never to post again. :v_SPIN:

Actually Brown really didn't have very good stats offensively. FG % was .368 and 23 points (9 of which were free throws). In his game against Kansas he had 33 points at .500. If you look at his numbers for last night compared to what he has been doing, he didn't play up to par.

My quote from page 2 of this thread

There will be no blaming Texas for a lose in the first round. If we lose it will not be because Texas back was against the wall, it will be because we didn't come to play.

Flat out, last night, we didn't come to win. We were the better team and we played like it for a while, but then we gave up. I don't credit Texas with this lose, I blame us.

Awww screw it I'll bump this, but only because it's one of my all time favorites.

Here's the double Booker's to the face of superstition and karma. We'll mess with Texas!!!

Bump for one of the greatest jinx threads of all time in the hopes that the curse won't be renewed this year.

Oh thank goodness it was only a bump, I thought it was happening again

I will say, the Texas team this year is very similar to the one that beat Iowa St in 2012. 7 seed vs a 6 seed, but both were very in need of a win to solidify a spot in the tournament.

Texas ended up a 11 seed that year, so it's safe to say they needed that win to get in. Lunardi has Texas as his second to last team to get in currently, so they could get in even after a loss to Iowa St, but a lot would have to go their way. This means no upsets in small leagues, and other teams on the bubble not making runs in their conference tournaments.

If Texas beats Tech, I'm sure they will feel as though a win over Iowa State would lock up a spot for them in the dance. It will be a motivated team. I'm glad we get them coming off of zero days rest this time, unlike in 2012.
