Yeah, all of the (very few) guys that Cael left have improved greatly under Jackson. The current redshirt freshman are his first recruiting class and we won't know until next season how well he and his staff can develop guys from scratch.

I like your posts and totally respect your opinions on Iowa State wrestling.

That said, i'd like your honest opinion on this.

Knowing what we know NOW. What are the chances KJ is still our wrestling coach in 5 years? He got totally screwed by Cael, lost 2 recruiting classes, etc. I get that.

What do you think? Honestly. I know you've gone over the line-ups and everything, but I did the same thing with basketball under McDermott. We were always going to be better "next year"....

Meeks and McCauley will help turn our program around. I have high hopes, too, for Doyle, when he gets here. We have some young wrestlers on our team right now that have real potential. Sanderson left for greener pastures and he definitely hurt our program badly. Coach Jackson is no quitter, and we should not quit on him before he gets a chance to prove himself. And the last thing we need is Brands to take over here.
