NFL: Tentative Agreement Reached For Vikings Stadium

Those tax dollars will be more than made up in the long run by the business generated from that team.

Losing the team would be a much bigger economic blow to the region than a few more taxes.

Not only the team but the building as well. It isn't like the Metrodome only hosts Viking games and sits empty the rest of the year. Fit the stadium with the ability to host other events and there's a ton of money to be made both directly in the stadium as well as indirectly with parking/hotels/restaurants.

Need some protection from the O-line too. I'd love Kalil, and a WR through free agency.

That would be my preference as well. Sounds like KC is going to put the Franchise tag on Bowe, but there are quite a few decent guys who might hit free agency, Stevie Johnson, Colston, Laurent Robinson, Manningham, heck even Reggie Wayne. Who knows how many will actually be on the market, but I'd take my chances at picking up a wide receiver in free agency over a solid starting left tackle. Kalil would anchor that line for 10 years.

Garcon may be available too and he's a young, talented receiver.

That looks like a 1000 percent improvement over the metrohole.

Glad to see it appears to be a done deal. I am not a Vikings fan but my wife and it appears my son is and i love being able to take a quick 3 hour drive and take him to NFL games, he is 5 and has been to 4 Vikes games and loves them. The Vikes do a good job of making sure the fans feel a part of the game day and that the team appreciates them. Also glad to see that the potential for final 4's and superbowl's only three hours away is now a reality again. Don't care how much tickets will be if there is a super bowl there I am going.

Sounds like you need to become a fan too  That's awesome that your son has already been to 4 games. They're a lot of fun.
