TCU game time?

Just read, another 11 am kickoff. Getting sick of these early games.

I drive from Des Moines, and I do not tailgate. So, I actually prefer the 11 am kickoffs. I get home with the entire evening in front of me. Win-Win!

11 o'clock games suck ass. Especially when you like to tailgate but also have to drive 2 hours to get to the stadium. They also sucked ass when I was a student, so it has little to do with the drive.

11:00 a.m. kickoff = leave Omaha at 7:00 a.m., leave Ames at 2:30, eat a late "lunch" somewhere along the way home, back home in Omaha about 6:30 p.m. while there is still daylight. Relax and enjoy the evening TV games. Perfect day!

We used to get 11am games because we suck. Why are we getting 11am games now that we are so much better?

I think we're getting more 11 am games due to TV coverage. Before when we were bad, so many games were on FSN or whatever. Now we're getting a better channel lineup. And in the case of UNI we got TV coverage for a game we definitely would not have had prior to now.

Definitely unfortunate. I was hoping for something later seeing as we're flying back for the weekend. However, should the game go off as planned, a little afternoon post game tailgate and some walking around campus with daylight will be nice.

GD, another 11:00 game, means leaving home at 4:30, getting up at 3:00 to get to Ames by 7:00 to tailgate. Can we please just have a 2:30 game or better yet a 7:00 game.

I guess in the end, we will be there, tired but cheering like hell.

Leave Omaha at 4:30 PM Friday, eat at Jethro's in Ankeny, Euchre and beer with in-laws, sleep until 8:00, arrive tailgate area 9:00, watch game, tailgate after game until traffic dies down, back home in Omaha about 8:00 p.m. Stress level (except during game) 0.
