was great today in St Josephs win over Temple. He leads the Atlantic 10 and is 6th in the nation is assists.

He's really stepped up, certainly more than I thought he would. Not sure what happened to him his sophomore year here but he was awful at times. He definitely showed flashes as a freshman late in the year that he could play.

I think a lot of his problem here was that he is a point guard, but there were two guys ahead of him that were pretty darn good. He was forced to play a shooting guard, and he struggled with that outside of Texas.

URGH!!!!!!!! I wish people would stop bringing up players that quit on us and have become sucessful!

I dont blame Tasheed Carr...If someone can move onto a better situation more power to them....Here's wishing Tasheed great things for the rest of the year....

If St. Joe's gives him an award at the end of the season, I hope he doesn't smash that one, too.

He didnt want to be in Ames, just let it go. This staff had NOTHING to do with him leaving. He was leaving before Mac was hired.

Was he leaving before Wayne was fired though?

Yes, remember Mac's hiring press conference when he looked at and told Tasheed and Will they were welcome to stay and he hopes they change their minds about leaving (or something like that).

That's whats even more ironic. Stinson AND Blalock were both leaving! He would have started last year!

I don't think he knew that by the time he decided he wanted to leave (midway through the season). I think in his mind he had already transfered before Wayne got fired. When Mac took the job I think he REALLY considered staying but already had a good offer close to home in hand...

He was receiving poor coaching and no respect at ISU. He probably felt he deserved something better, so he left.

He was a great kid remember he was actually going to give ISU a chance but when he realized how he would fit in GMACs system he went somewhere he could shine. The only one of our transients I respect and enjoy hearing great stats from him.

I remember he told RASHEED he could stay if he wanted... haha

I don't understand why it is such a taboo to some people on this site to talk about old players. There is no reason to get angry about someone who left Iowa State for their own reasons. Chill out.

i do get sick of playing the game with guys who could have stayed but when you think of the talent, our lineup right now would include farnold degand (starting PG at NC state), Shawn Taggert (backup PF on #1 team in the country), Tasheed Carr (15ppg and 6th in nation in assists at St. Joes) and a few others
