Clock House has a separate tap room inside of Black Sheep. While you have to enter Black Sheep, you don't have to be seated there/ordering from them. I liked their beers, however not enough to visit and pretty much get them when I'm at other places offering it.

I didn't like Thew at all. Their beers seemed below par when we were there and we ordered beers not from them after sampling. Their place was mostly empty on the Saturday night we were there months ago.

Generally for CR microbrews, I don't see any scenario where I'd go to either over Lion's Bridge/3rd Base/Iowa Brewing/Quarter Barrel. The first three for their beers and QB for their arcade games.

I feel like Lion's Bridge has the best beers in CR IMO. I don't really care for the inside of that place though.

Confluence-the original is still the best
Peace Tree-tried and true
Brightside-not as many pulls but really good unique options
Big Grove-I know Iowa City blah blah blah but good beer
Toppling Goliath-still hard to believe there are 2 breweries in Decorah-Pulpit Rock is pretty good too

Decided to check out what Dubuque had to offer. Duck me..... I'm declaring Dimensional brewing the best in the state. Between the tap room and the beer, the best. Their ipa's and stouts are killer and the place is pretty cool.

They’re good dudes too.

That’s odd. I’ve always really enjoyed their beer. They made a great pale for Codfish Hollow a couple years back

Was in Okoboji for a wedding yesterday and popped into West O. Their taproom is fine, but I think their beer has gone up a notch. They’ve always been solid, but I had a couple excellent beers there yesterday. They’re Top 10 in the state right now, IMO.

West O is one of my favorite places. Taproom is always great after a day on the lake. Grab some Ritz pizza to go, head to the taproom and enjoy some good beer and peanuts

Taken awhile. I remember not that long ago it was so stealth in Dubuque. It was hard to find any breweries other than Star and mini Jubeck.
