Tailgating/game day with kids

I just know people just love lugging babies up steps in the hot sun. I feel sorry for them not leaving them with a baby-sitter.
I'm guessing those mom's can handle the 15 extra pounds a bit better than the sweaty fat dudes headed up the stairs. There is no baby sitter for your extra 60 pounds.

My two daughters 4 and 2.5 have been to multiple games. They love the cyclone parties. With a third added to our fam, wife has sad no kids at games 1 and 2. Couldn’t argue that (going to be two raucous parties), she always takes the brunt of the duties no matter how much I or the other tailgate group says they’ll help. With that said, an infant is easy as they’ll just sleep and are held during game. Once they become mobile though, you’ve got 1 quarter max and then attention span is gone. Bummed my girls won’t be at the first couple of games/tailgates, but it’s for the better this time.

My oldest went to her first Cyclone game at 4 months old. She went to every game thru the 2005 season. That year we had a two year old and her sister another 4 month old. After that season, we gave up our season tickets as it was just too much driving from the Chicago area for every game with two kids that young. We would still come to one or two games year.

As others have said, you won’t drink as much and true tailgating gets cut back some. I’m sure though, this is a reason my older daughter is now a Freshman at ISU. I honestly wouldnt trade those memories for anything. They were a lot of fun. And we have season tickets again.

Anyone know what the snack policy is for JTS? It says food and beverage are prohibited, but are they really going to take the Cheerios and puffs I bring for my 2 year old twins?

No just have it in your baby bag/stuff and you’re good.

Are diaper bags allowed this year? I haven’t been to a game since 2019
According to ISU website on stadium rules

"Exceptions will be made for bags containing items required for medical, family, or child care."
