Tailgating at Baylor

Looks like the menu will be:

96 lbs brisket

45 lbs hot wings

30 lbs sausage links

Ranch Beans, Potato Salad, pickles, jalapenos, onions, etc.

Sodas and bottled waters will be provided.

Adult beverages are byob.

We may do a pork loin or 2, as well.

C'mon out and grab a bite.

Sounds great. My Cyclone family will be planning to stop by for your hospitality - me, my wife, and 15 year-old son. We'll be coming from Plano. Thanks!

Thanks for coming by everyone.

I hope you had a good pre-game experience.

Good luck for the remainder of the season.

Congrats on the win, Baylor is the real deal. Hope you're able to head up to Ames next fall, your hospitality will certainly be reciprocated!

There was a huge ISU tailgate in the General Admission lot and I was very impressed with the ISU fanbase throughout the game. Good luck for the rest of the season and please destroy Mizzou.

I maybe saw maybe 15 Baylor fans tailgating. Everyone was taking picture of the lots being completely empty two hours before kickoff. Ken Starr did come around to the ISU tailgate and say hello.

I looked around for a big tailgate that Redfish was talking about and there wasn't any big gathering of Baylor fans anywhere around the stadium when we parked on Clay Street. Heck we parked before Baylor even had anyone to take our money.

congrats on the win. Please give the Aggies a proper send off to the SEC. I know the Battle of the Brazos has been played since 1899 and it would be neat if Baylor could get the last one. Well that is of course if they don't play it anymore.

Nicky,

That's on the complete opposite side of the tailgating areas.

We had around 30-40 Iowa State fans tailgate with us, but we were at 29th and Dutton...not Clay.

Food was gone by kickoff.

Sorry you missed it. I probably should have put a map out for our visitors.

I got there at 9:30 a.m. and the attendants were at all the normal tailgating areas, as usual.

Simply in the wrong place and wrong side.

There was lots of tailgating by George's tent. I saw tons of it.

The Dallas alumni took a bus down and met up with the Austin alumni club about 4 hours before kickoff for a huge tailgate in Lot J. I didn't count but I'd say there was probably around 100 ISU fans. A couple Baylor fans even came over and partied with us.

We still won.

I thought the tailgating scene @ Waco was improved from 08. It was a complete joke that night in 08. It's still not very good but there was definite improvement. I didn't see a lot of booze floating around, which is always concerning (and expected given the location) but in terms of the number of people it's getting better.

Hey guys, there are Baylor fans looking for a good tailgate.

I know we had 20-40 ISU tailgaters in our area and they were great company.

If you were one of those or even if not, you like tailgating with visitors, and don't mind sharing your fun, let us know.

I'll let you hang with us.. Usually group of 20 or so. Just message me. Bring beer and we will take care of food. Had about 15 k state fans a few weeks back. Heck we even got mentioned on the radio station in Manhattan about it.

Will Onefish961, Twofish961, and Bluefish961 be joining? Those guys can party.

We tend to be a pretty friendly bunch.

For the fans flying in that haven't been able to hook up with a group, I would recommend a redneck tailgate. Load up some of your favorite beverages in a WallMart bag (or backpack) and start walking around the tailgating lots. Smile and make eye contact. It will not take very long to get invited to join a group.

If you make it over to the west side of S4, we invite visitors walking by to join us in some friendly games of flippy cup and share some rounds of our shot-ski. We always have more food than we can eat and will gladly share.

If driving in, use any of the public lots. They are all good. G2/3 is the unofficial student lot and can get pretty wild. The others tend to be a little tamer.

Dress warm. The weather is expected to be on the chilly side.
