Survivor 45

Nothing too earth shattering this week. Figured Emily would be the deciding vote. Starting to wonder if they have been giving her the winners edit lately but maybe I'm just looking too much for that after seeing that play out last season when everyone was calling it. Wish there would be another vote or 2 before a merge as there are some interesting dynamics going on with the 3 tribes but the merge is happening next episode.

In premier she had a confessional saying something like “I’d rather go home first if I’m not going to win. There’s no point in being here otherwise.” She was saved miraculously by a quit and has since rebounded well. Been wondering if that quote was foreshadowing as she’s been improving her standing

Nice catch. She was definitely in trouble early and was playing too hard from day 1 but she's toned it down since and fell into the perfect reshuffle situation as the swing vote. How she plays after the merge will be interesting. There are a few others that merging now is going to give them new life as if they has stayed with 2 or 3 tribes for a few more votes it was going to get interesting.

That was nuts. Was hoping Kaleb was going home.as he's just playing both sides and got extremely too confident that the shot in the dark was his best play. Surprised Emily dis not go home as splitting up the 2 swing votes would have made Caleb an easy target (could still be) next vote. Jay probably could have saved herself but just exposing that Dee and not her voted for Sifu as that was probably where a love if the distrust for her originates from. Wild tribal for sure.

Nice to see a week where we got an endurance challenge and a double elimination at a time in the game where things needed to get tough. Sifu was a nice dude but it was the right call to vote out a guy that was going to be a wild card if he made the jury. Caleb was the right call too, could not let a snake like that keep lying in the weeds and surviving votes where he then can take control and build a resume. He was a salesman, he talked with everyone and told them what they wanted to hear in order to save his own hide and they final came to their senses and voted him out.

I don't get the animosity towards Bruce. Yeah he's a bit paranoid but I probably could relate to what he's doing as if you aren't talking to people then you aren't playing that game. I keep laughing out some of them keep saying they are annoyed with him but its only been 14 days. For 1 million dollars you tolerate it and use him as a shield because if he annoys enough people he's not going to win. Have to keep the emotions out of it and keep running the numbers with people you can count on for votes if you want to make it to the end and he's a guy if you keep him at ease and make him think he's calling the shots is an easy vote out later in the game.

Glad to see the Survivor Auction is making a return next week. It's been awhile and I suspect Jeff has some new twists and surprises with it too. Had to go back and replay some of the past auctions and the reason they got rid of it was because everyone started passing up food to use all their money to bid on a chance at an advantage. I'm sure that will still be in play but surely they will have some new rules or twists this time where maybe the advantage will be a beware advantage where there may be some risk involved for holding out to bid on it and lose your vote or something.

I was surprised nobody tried putting a bug in Bruce's ear about Kellie getting voted out, prior to council. She's the only one he may have given up his idol for. If they made Bruce believe Kellie was going home, gotten him to give her his idol, and then voted Bruce out, that would've been pretty epic.

He has a hidden immunity idol as well, he would have just given her that and still been safe

I don't really like anyone in the game right now. Kinda rooting for Bruce out of spite since he annoys them so much.
