I usually start a beard right before Thanksgiving. The last 3 or 4 years I have shaved the moustache right before the first game in KC leaving a long "Amish" beard.
Last year I had to leave KC after our win to attend a wedding of a friend of my wife in Tennessee. The rehearsal dinner was the night of the KU game, and I shaved off the beard the next morning before the wedding. A couple people right after the wedding asked my wife "Were you with a different guy last night?"
This year it's hopefully staying into April.
