Been frustrating here half way between Muscatine & Burlington. Can get a glimpse for maybe 5 seconds or so every now and then, but that's been about it. Moon is too low in the sky to see it well where I am.

It's starting to eclipse right now (8:10pm CST) and it's not red

It was red earlier 730 pm is bright red. And around 80 pm a little red. Pretty cool now

Really? I live in the suburbs - an area that's no different than the northern or western Des Moines suburbs.
