I'm just messing. But you can't use the phrase "good music" then follow up with:
Nickelback

Anyone going downtown to see Willie Nelson and Dwight Yoakam tonight? I thought about it and the tickets are stupid cheap on the secondary market, but my wife is working late tonight and I'm on kid duty.

And honestly, I love Willie Nelson but if you've seen him once then you've seen him a hundred times. It is remarkable that he's still even able to get out there and do some live shows at 85 years old.

Just learned that I'm seeing Justin Townes Earle with the Sadies for free this summer.

I still say he's better with only two additional pieces or solo but the Sadies can make anything work.

The lineup is pretty amazing this year, but I already committed with a group of friends to Hinterland (same weekend). Pretty much everyone you list, Jack White, St. Vincent, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, GoldLink, Vampire Weekend... It's pretty tight from top to bottom.

A few years ago. Pretty good experience but I benefited from having a buddy who lived within walking distance of the park.

I would strongly discourage seeing blink without Tom. I enjoy the new stuff but it’s awful live.

Uhh bummer! Was hoping to see you and Janny there

I was considering doing an AirBnB along one of the towns that has the metra and taking that in to the city.

I mentioned that I was hoping to go and a coworker scoffed and said that it was for high schoolers. Im a year graduated from college now so im not old by any means. I assumed she doesn't know what she's talking about.
