Suckeyes at Indiana

Have no idea. But to say they weren't fully healthy is a lie. MSU does this every year and they will get a #5 seed and make it to at least the Elite 8 if not win it all.

Also, look at his numbers since he returned, they are no different than when the year started including the Iowa, Wisconsin and Nebraska games. He played OK against Iowa and really good against Wisconsin and fantastic against Nebraska. You can say they MSU didn't play well against Iowa and that is fine and probably true, but they were fully healthy.

so even though he played above average they still lost to mediocre teams? You made the point that they just aren't that great, even backed it up with facts THANKS! They are riding Valentines triple double against KU, that's all they've done and it took an out of this world performance from their best player. If he doesn't play outstanding, MSU is a pretty average team.

A healthy KU team got blown out by a team that lost to Missouri state, Tulsa, and George Mason? Wow the big 12 is bad this year.

Kansas and Michigan State suck. I'll agree with that. The Big 12 is probably the best basketball conference ever this year though. Won't see another conference like this in our lifetime most likely

Iowa is a contender this year to go to the final four. This is a good to great team. But in any other year of college bball I would just hope this team could somehow piece it together to get to the Sweet 16. But this year is a different story. This year, this team could seriously go to the Final Four.

I'm honestly not disagreeing with anything you say here. I just want to say, I think there are a lot of teams, with the parity this year, that are in the 1-5 or so seed range that are contenders for the final four. I mean even as ISU has looked, we've proven that we can still play with the best.

My comments are based off the fact that you have fans on this board not wanting a #1 seed for one reason or another. If your team is really that good, or hell, even if they aren't, not wanting a #1 is a dumb idea. #1 is the easiest road to the final four. I know my post may read this way, but I'm really not commenting on the caliber of team that Iowa has, I'm commenting on the ridiculousness of some of your fans on this board.

Yeah, for sure. Probably even get a team to the elite eight this year!

Maybe they will have a team get to the final four this year. The Big 12 is "so tough" every year yet they don't perform in the post season. They must just have really unlucky matchups.

Mad. Mad. Mad. Mad. Mad. Getting trolled by CyTwins, the most well known hok troll troll, that's pretty impressive.

You should be thankful you get to play in a weak conference. It's a grind having one of the toughest schedules in the country every year

Then how do you explain them losing to Nebraska and Wisconsin in succession following a loss to Iowa?

Wisconsin has won 6 in a row and are starting to look like a tourney team. Nebraska has beat MSU 3 straight times, but that didn't stop MSU from going to the final four last year.

That's not saying much.

Michigan St RPI 18 (second of three losses back from surgery)
Penn St RPI 102
Indiana RPI 54
Illinois RPI 142
Ohio St RPI 81
Nebraska RPI 159

Also, Nebraska is Nebraska.

He played 23 minutes the game before and started and played 37 minutes against the Hawks. If this was Uthoff and he played 37 minutes against ISU on his second game back, there is no way Iowa fans would get away with saying they lost because Uthoff wasn't fully healthy.

It still wouldn't stop Hawkeye fans from claiming that as an excuse though.

I wouldn't, but also don't doubt a lot of fans would. But I do know that it doesn't stop ISU fans for using it as an excuse for why Iowa beat MSU. Guess that is why fans are short for fanatics.
