For what it's worth, I think they picked him up because we are incredibly short on depth this year (no SDW, Edozie, etc. for practice bodies) and the time they picked him up was before they had signed Carter and Ernst if my recollection serves correctly. He's just lucky to be a big body at a time when it is sorely needed for practice.

I loved the "Stu" chants last night. The students were AWESOME all game!!

This thread just confirms my thought that everyone that plays pickup at ISU has played pickup with Stu. He was destined to be a favorite of the student section.

My extra ticket went to a buddy of mine last night who hasn't been to a game in awhile. After I explained who Stu was and that the students were calling for him, he was having a blast and yelling right along with them, and even said it reminded him of the old days with Hester. Great atmosphere at the end of the game and fun to have a guy like that at the end of our bench.

Stu is fun to play pick up with and is super funny on and off the court. Glad to see him get a walk-on spot.

Ellerman was at least good enough that the Kangaroos put a starter back in on him. Poor guy played that game with a shiner he no doubt got in practice.
