Do we finally have our new Hester? If you all remember Hester he was the really smart guy at the end of the bench. When we were blowing a team out the crowd would start the Hester chant. Coach would walk over lime he was gonna put him in only to walk away. Just to play with the crowd. Finally he would wave Hester in and the crowd would go nuts. Is Stu our new hester?

I'm with this, but the more timely reference is totally Ellerman. Glad to have another kid to have fun with like this!

I might have dated myself with my Hester story. I think the crowd needs to play this guy up at the end of games.

The student section goes nuts cause Stu was a frequent pickup game player, half the guys have probably played pickup with him.

Did he just decide to walk on as a junior? Interesting that he's from Fenwick.

I wonder if someone asked him since he's a gym rat. Someone around here said they used to play pickup with him all the time at Lied, and my kid laughed when he saw he was on the team, and said he probably played pickup with him about three dozen times at State or Beyer.

Ya, we used to play with Stu all the time at Lied. He will still come around

Nothing more frustrating than playing with Stu on your pick up team, only to have him camp out at the 3 point line and only shoot 3's.

If i had a dollar for everytime that happened, I could pay for school this semester.

I'm friends with someone who was roommates with him his freshman year. Sounds like he was going to walk-on then, but he broke his collarbone and was going to miss half the year, so Hoiberg cut him, then wouldn't give him another tryout after he healed. So new coach=another shot

I met him freshman year in the dorms and he told me that he was going to walk on (two years ago). I guess it never panned out, but finally did with Prohm.

Edit: Str8Cash beat me to it
