Strength Coach

I have lifted for 25 years, am a part-time personal trainer, and also am somwhat aware of the exercise regimen for ISU team. Besides some machine work and isolation movements (arms, abs, calves, etc.) the bball program at its core consists of the same basic compound movements that anyone has to do to build muscle: presses, rows, squats, lunges, cleans (they only do hang cleans).
Something is amiss, however, in that we have to be the skinniest team in the Big 12.

You just proved my point. You do not know anything about strength and conditioning.

Keep in mind that half of our players are still new to the program (Eickmeier, Buckley, Hamilton, Mann, Vanderbeken, Christopherson and Pomlee). How much can the S&C guy do when the players have only been on campus for 4 months? I'm impressed with the improvements I've seen in a short amount of time with Diante Garrett, Craig Brackins and Charles Boozer (those guys were all pretty skinny when they showed up at ISU).

I'd like to see Hulk Hogan... not only could he develop them into physical freaks, but also raving lunatics. The post game interviews with Eric Heft would be a lot more interesting!:jimlad:

Just my opinion

Ive got a decent amout of knowledge in the field. Ive worked with some highschool athletes whos goals were to put on weight while getting more athletic. You can lift 6 days a week (which I do not recommend) and still never put on a pound because weight (muscle) gain is about 85% diet.
