Stranger Things

1) I could've sworn we saw "papa" die, he got taken out by the beast right after it come through the wall. I guess we didn't see his face get ripped off, but I know the thing jumped on top of him.
2) 11 is still alive, I think, because of the shot of Hop putting the eggo's into that box in the woods with the chicken wings.
3) Sheriff's daughter is dead.
4) I think that had to do with him putting that food in the box in the final episode, but you are right it wsa a weird car and I am curious as to if that was the Hawkin's Lab people, or another government sector that knows about 11.
5) I am not sure how he knew she liked them, but I think it is a forsure that it is not his daughter. They went and saw/met her mother and he was way too emotional about his daughter to see 11 with his own eyes and not show any emotion.

Lots of things left up in their air for next season, I thought they finished/wrapped up this season as well as they could. Really curious to see wtf is up with Will and how that **** will effect him going forwar (next monster?) but I am excited for season 2, this season really got me hooked. Especially the children swearing, always good for a cheap laugh :)

I don't think Eleven is his daughter. He spent time with her at the school. If she was his daughter, he would have known it. The way I see it, the key to Hop is the "deal" he makes with the lab, to let them go. What was that deal. Obviously, it was an exchange of Eleven's whereabouts for the opportunity to go in after Will, but what else was there? Obviously something, because of the car ride he took. I'm sure the 2nd season will go into it.

can I get some help pressuring Angie into watch Stranger Things? She has so far refused to, because someone told her it was too scary. I tried to explain that it's more like X-Files scary than it is horror movie scary. and it's really good.

Yeah, it is intense and a thriller, but not like a scary movie scary. It is a good storyline with some comedic parts thrown in to lighten the mood. The actors are all, for the most part, very good actors. And Children cursing is always good for a sympathy laugh.

I don't think it's like watching The Ring or anything. Yeah, more like X-Files. Tell her to grow a pair. Wait, no, don't do that.

FWIW my wife won't watch horror movies any more and loved this show. It's not that scary, more suspenseful.

I thought the acting and 80s setting was very good but the show just didn't do it for me. Slow and boring - I didn't get all of the suspense that people were talking about. I did really enjoy the dynamic between the 3 kids (and Will) and Eleven. Decent show but I don't get any greatness from it and certainly wouldn't give it 9.1 that is has on IMDB.

And I wouldn't say the show is scary or creepy necessarily outside of a handful of scenes.

If Angie thinks it is too scary, you might be better off without her.

I kid, Angie is the ****, but apparently a big baby

I don't trust anyone's opinion who has Lost as a top show ever....
