Strange tailgate question

I may be in town for the primary purpose of taking my high school daughters to tailgate with some friends of theirs that attend ISU. I didn't want to just send them on their way so agreed to head over with them and keep them on a bit of a leash.

I don't want to hang out with them and their punky friends all day so I'll be cruising the lot looking for familiar faces. It's been years since I've tailgated due to the aforementioned girls' sports activities over the years. I'd like to swing by some friendly tailgates and partake but don't want to be a mooch. Just need a few places to hang.

If you have a group of 40 somethings and don't mind another dropping by let me know where you'll be and I may swing by if welcomed. I love beer but am not a drunk. I just want to be in the vicinity of my girls but not in their face.

You could always go to the Alumni building or the Gridiron club tent and pay for food/drink. Or just stop by any tailgate and ask for a beer. I doubt anyone would refuse.
 
I will have a large group up in Vet. Med. if u make ur way up that way. Look for a bus and 2 rvs parked in a U shape if they allow us to.

Same here, but we're in the 29-35 range. I have actually walked back to our tailgate and thought I was at the wrong one due to the people there drinking my beer that I didn't recognize.

I hope to all that is holy that you punched all of them in the the throat, as touching another man's beer is as bad as touching another man's woman!
