Only if ISU adds Virginia to the list of schools it won't release him to (normally it is Big XII schools and Iowa D-1 schools). Based on Dresser's statements I don't get the impression they're going to do that but I dunno. Wrestling allows a one time transfer with no penalty.
Edit: No, you're right, I was wrong there. Usually there is no penalty but if there was tampering then it is prevented even if Iowa State were to release him without listing Virginia.

What's funny is I woke up this morning and thought I wonder if they just hate wide receivers and bammmm Judoka with the zinger!
I wonder if Storr said something to Dresser that is making him go after the tampering thing - like them telling him he'd have a scholarship offer if he decided to transfer, or something like that. Because coaches talk to their former athletes all the time and it usually isn't a big deal unless they are actually recruiting the guy to their new team. Not letting the Paulson's off the hook here, because "extensive phone calls" goes beyond just staying in contact and they know the rules well enough to know that's against them. Just wondering what caused Dresser to request the records.
I'm still wondering if he quit outright or if he told the coaches he was going to transfer to Virginia after the season was over and they told him to pack up his locker rather than finish the season.
The "untold story" - Give me a break. The staff has been good to Kanen with the transfer with all things considered - he better tread lightly.
This will not go well for Storr. Right now he has the benefit of doubt with most of us.
Or maybe the real story is that Paulson just butt dialed him a bunch of times.
I am holding opinions. I know that the Paulsons and Storr had a very close relationship. I think Storr might have babysat the Paulson kids. So not sure we will ever know the whole story.
I do know that if Storr did not want to be at Iowa State, so be it. Better sooner than latter.

Just seems silly to me for Storr to stoke this fire. Let it die out and move on.

Paulsons are mentors and landlords for Storr. That is Storr's side. Contact was occurring, but not recruiting talk

From what I’ve heard from inside the program is that the Paulson’s started contacting Storr (and others) within the first week of them landing the Virginia gig. Phone records show this.
