Wow, that was impressive winds coming through in the DSM area. I looked outside for a sec, neighbor lost a tree, and my garbage cans are probably blocks from here.

got a little funky here too...that's the beauty of having a weather wife. I had a head start and had plenty of time to get stuff put away.

I just wish that this weather would keep up for a few hours, but it looks like it'll only last about a half hour. I love severe storms.

Just got our first small hail.
I need to get a 6 mile run in yet and have not had time yet today between storms.

coming back from the lakes today I ran into this crap untill fort dodge then it wasnt a prob.... since I have been in Ames it has been a good rain we needed it

some pretty good size branches down here in my neighborhood in Beaverdale. One from my tree fell out into the street, still hanging out a foot or 2 after I pulled it back as far as I could. Doubt the city will be nice enough to come by and haul it off for me...

just drove home from Wig and Pen in Ankeny. flooded streets, branches down and DMACC had excessive flooding around its ponds. 2 inches in about a half hour.

Just got done putting a neighbors fence back up. The other side of me lost 1/2 their shingles.

there hasnt hardly been much going on here in ames other than hard rain for 10 minutes and now just rumbles of thunder

Every building in Eldora and Grundy Center has sustained some sort of damage. Keep them in your thoughts over the next week or two, they have a lot of work to do.
