Losing Iowa would have an effect but are people really anymore excited for UNI than some other crappy FCS team. I'd probably be more excited at this point for a crappy FCS team because I'd feel 100% confident we would win.

The evidence from previous attendance records would strongly suggest that the fans come out for the UNI and Iowa games, but drop off for a crappy FCS team, such as Western Illinois. We will see the difference again for the San Jose State game. Interest and energy by the fans would be down, even if we came into the game having beaten UNI.
