I think he did that, got back into assistant coaching for a bit (at Hofstra) and then was working in life insurance.
There actually is a world where Fred could come back but it'd be up to JP to make that happen.. It's not completely 100% out of the question.
People actually think Fred wants to come back? I can't even imagine how over whelming Ames would for his family. Talk about jilted lover separation baggage.
Him and his family will always have love / ties to Ames and Iowa State. Like I said, there's a really low chance Fred comes back, but the door is not completely closed on him ever becoming the coach again.
I never bet and I would bet on Fred never being coach again.
I would also make a bet that he won't be coach again.. I'm just saying that if the opportunity came, he could be a candidate.
VERY interesting!! Kelvin would absolutely be a good fit at ISU, and IF he were to come, I would expect a long tenure here. He was/is still very close to LE and TF from what I hear, so if JP called him, I'm pretty sure there would be a good conversation...

I don't understand the love for Sampson as a prospect. So people want someone who's going to make things worse at ISU?
I'm not sure I have enough alcohol if the season is gonna be that kind of roller coaster.
