One of the most expensive homes in Phoenix is owned by an ASU professor. Those of you that think professors don't make a lot don't know reality. They have more side deals than coaches and they don't need to report them.

For some reason I was thinking Prohm bought Fred’s.
I was always under the impression that coaches were probably gifted houses (or given a nice discount) by the athletic department as a part of bringing them on. They’d be given a few options and allowed to pick one. Maybe I’m way off base there?
It would be funny if TJ bought Prohm's. There is almost nothing in that price range.
I always think coaches buying a $1,000,000 house is excessive, until I realize they could probably pay the entire house off with a year's salary even after taxes.
And from my understanding professors now days don’t even teach the class like they used to do. They have some grad student or some crap do it
Idk how common it is but I remember Greg Schiano had a deal at Rutgers the first time around where they sold him land owned by the university interest free to build a home.
As it became obvious we had to move on, I started asking myself if I’d rather have a really good dude like Prohm but totally suck, or an asshat like Mad and be mired in mediocrity most of the time. I haven’t really answered my own question. I know I’d be embarrassed to have a coach like Fran though.
That is a good question to ponder. I do know it would have to be embarrassing to cheer for a guy like Rick Pitino (the dad) if he were the leader of our program!
I wouldn't put up with a coach that acts like Fran unless it was getting Bill Self results
It looks nice. Not jaw dropping or anything, just nice. Humble home for a humble guy.

Most successful, white collar workers are living in Ankeny versus Ames despite their employment being in Ames. Housing inventory is soo much better as Ames doesn't believe in growth

Moved to Ankeny a few years ago while still working up in Ames. Looked up there first, but didn’t think I would get a good value at the prices in town.
Got a good place in Ankeny and don’t regret it. Also ended up taking a new job in DSM so it worked out well.
