Starts on Wednesday. What stories will you be following this week? Many Cyclone recruits have a great chance at winning the title. I'm looking for big things from Voelker.

my hs sent all 5 of our district qualifiers. should see a few medal, our 103 pounder has a good chance to win it.

Both of my brothers qualified and will be following them mostly. One of them is a senior who is projected to make the finals on thepredicament tournament preview. On a side note there is no better sporting event to attend regardless of level or sport. If it weren't for class I would be in Des Moines Wednesday through Saturday.

My former high school sent 3, but their district was brutal with City High and City West. From what I saw, only the 130 pounder will place. He has a tough draw facing the 2 seed (WSR) in the second round if he wins Wednesday.

My high school had a down year this year. We qualified 5 guys through to state.

103 lbs. Colby Knight Fr. 37-0
140 lbs. Gabe Moreno So. 37-0
171 lbs. Mike Moreno Sr. 39-0
189 lbs. Evan Knight Sr. 30-3
215 lbs. Jesse South Jr. 33-8

You think that's brutal try being borderline 2A 1A and having to wrestle Davenport Assumption for sectionals every single year.

When I was a senior in high school we had Don Bosco in sectionals and Nashua Plainfield in districts. DB sent 12, NP sent 6, we sent 3 so out of 28 possible qualifiers these 3 teams sent 21. It was tough as nails.

Indianola sent quite a few. We should finish in the top 5 again this year. Coach Young is doing a good job there.

How every police department in Polk County (along with the Sheriff and State Patrol) will set up a speed trap at Euclid and 235 headed into downtown.

Ya know, just to makre sure everything's on the up and up.

You may only have 5 down there but those are some quality wrestlers right there. I'm saying team title comes down between WSR and Bett. Bett with strength in number and WSR relying on their top guys to get falls through the tourney and crown a few state champs. That team title chase could be interesting come late Saturday.

I think I know where you went to school.. If true I went there to several years ago. Good luck to your brothers.

Also Gadson Vs. Knight will likely be a second round match up. Knight committed to Cornell and Obviously Gadson to ISU. Maybe one of the toughest brackets. Riley from Rosevelt is on the top side of the bracket, who has beated Knight several times this year and is a legit D1 prospect.

Bosco got 10 thru this year ( Thats where I am from). Never found it fair to have so many great teams at the same districts every year. Lots of great kids stay home.

Pretty sure Gadsen is going to be the most impressive. I don't know if he's had a match this year that wasn't a tech fall or pin.

My old High School only got 8 in this year. Not enough to contend for the title. One of my current local schools sends 9. Also not likely enough to contend, but both could place fairly well. Should be a fun tournament to follow.
