State of the Program

Intermat National Tournament Rankings prior to last weekend tourneys:
Okla State 4
Iowa State 9
Utah Valley 16
Northern Iowa 22
Wyoming 23
Oklahoma 25

Does this mean that Oklahoma overperformed in Big 12's? If so, did they take more points from us or OSU?

Oklahoma certainly overperformed. Oklahoma State underperformed a bit. Overall, Iowa State held their own although we were hoping for some better.

What was our projected points if we wrestled to our seeds? I know you cannot figure in bonus points but there should be something out there.

Explain for a wrestling newbie like me why having a good RTC is great for program success
You don’t get a guy like Yonger from Cuba without it. I would wager Kyven being able to train with him was a major piece in him coming here. Now, he does have to learn a lot. But there is no ceiling to what that guy might be able to do for us once he learns folkstyle.

I watched Schon's finals match and that kid is as strong as an ox.
He's not super tall for a heavyweight (6ft, I think) and looks like he could have made 220 again this season but decided to take on all the big boys. Reminds me a bit of Zabriskie.
It should be fun watching him and Greenlee vie for the heavyweight position.
I'm pretty sure Greenlee is about 6in. taller than Schon, and if he packs on the muscle, he'll be tough to beat.

I don't know much about Schon but just from that video that was attached he looks like a 197 pounder but looks like a beast!

I was just as interested in watching that freshman heavyweight who was a backup most of the year make it all the way to the finals.
of course Schon with a torn ACL showed unreal heart in pulling that out
