Didn't Rhoads promise Ozigbo playing time as a true frosh? Pretty sure that was what sold him.

i doubt he'll start, but surely he'll see the field.

I said in a thread Ozigbo would play and everyone thought it would be impossible to pass Syria on the depth chart. Coach Ayeni told him he would have a chance because of his size and will see the field. Put Nealy and Ozigbo as a rotation and warren to sub in nealy. I've been high on Warren but Nealy still has a potential to succeed. Small backs are the current trend in college, needs to start up front for them to get to the second level so they can really showcase they're speed and skills.

Or both in the same backfield. It worked for Iowa to have two Fullbacks in the game in there bowl loss :twitcy:

My common sense says Nealy, my unbridled hope says Warren (who turns out to be like a super stud who goes 1st-round pro or something)

CFB is trending toward smaller backs? Huh?? Some of the best RBs this year had good size.

Melvin Gordon, Perine, both Alabama backs, Indianas back, texas backs, etc??

I do agree smaller guys need room to run, which ours do not have.

I think there's some truth to the smaller back thing with more spread offenses, but a lot of teams have started to move back to bigger backs who used to have smaller guys. I'm glad CPR has finally recruited a couple of bigger backs. Hopefully he'll have some bigger o-lineman to pave the way for them.

He's right. So are you with the exception of questioning him. You aren't ever going to see guys like Coleman or Henry not be successful but they are elite. It's not much different then DEs. They are also trending smaller. That doesn't mean Joey Bosa isn't one of the best in the country, it just means that in today's game, people are willing to give up size before speed. That's pretty general but you get the point. Your elite players will always be big and fast. That won't ever change.

I hope whoever it is can be an effective pass blocker and catch a pass out of the backfield because I want us to be 60/40 to the pass next season.
