In this case, I see it like this. There are people who like the Big Play potential that Steele gives ISU. We've seen it before and when it happens, it's a lot of fun. Some don't like his potential for turnovers
In the case of JB, Some like the way he seemd to run a machine like offense. There didn't seem to be the crazy whacked out play when JB was in there, along with this was less Big Play Potential, but it was the trade for a more controlled offense.
I think in these cases, it's what kind of football you like to watch. I have to admit, I havea bit of an attachment to SJ myself, if for nothing else, I like his story. I want him to reduce the streaks of turnovers he had last year that put us in huge holes because this genuinely is his last shot at football. He made the trip here to ISU and I want to see him succeed and it still gives JB 2 years to be the starter. So in a lot of ways, no one gets hurt that bad.
In the end, that Big play potential is really fun to watch in SJ and I believe a lot of other people see that as well. Honestly, if SJ doesn't get the start, I really don't feel like the coach made the wrong decision at all. I'm going to assume that SJ never got a handle on the turnover issue.
