Fantastic episode today. The finale is going to be something

It was good.

However, I'm constantly reminded of how TV show and movies have their characters do the dumbest things just for dramatic effect. Ultimately, this show is just Favreau playing with his action figures, which while entertaining, has led to quite a few, "oh, come on" moments. While I get that Favreau isn't a military geniuses writing this show, the tactical failures the so-called elite fighters make in this episode were just colossal. Total realism isn't required, but at least give me something of why the Mandalorians were so feared by the Empire besides standing in a clump getting shot at.

Finally watched it. Pretty intense and had all of the stuff I come to Star Wars for. Makes up for the **** show episode last week. I could watch everything in this weeks episode all of the time.

I don’t think any. I think Gideon has been on Mandalore for a while, considering his base there. The remememts of the empire are hiding from the new Republic, and what better way to do that then on planet where it’s people have deserted and is resource rich.

The one girl on Courasant who is in a recovery program got the info and sent it to Gideon. So she’s the mole in the new republic.

I think those "lost" mandos are. The whole planet was glassed. No way anyone survived other than mole people.

I also feel the mythosaur is Chekhov's gun at this point. It has to be used next episode.

It will assuredly be what turns the tide towards the Mandalorians.

But based on the past few episodes, anyone get the feeling that we don't see Grogu in the sequels because his powers were used to resurrect Palpatine? Sure seems like they're setting up the backstory for both the sequels and Ashoka series in this episode.

Based on the first season, this was the first thought that came in to my mind, especially after what we saw in Book of Boba Fett. However, given the popularity of Gorgu, I don't think they will off him, too much merchandise to sell. I think they cruise off in the sunset, or we finally figure out where Yoda's civilization is located and he's dropped of there.

I could see where Disney says they need to write into existence a way to extract his midi-clorians to strip him of his force abilities without killing him.

With the recently announced New Jedi Order movie, there's always a chance he comes back there, assuming he survives past the Mando-verse stuff.

As far as the possible Mando spy, three possible candidates: Axe Wolves, The Armorer, or the surface survivors.

The similarity of The Armorer's and Gideon's armor, her abrupt change in attitude toward Bo on Nevarro and now being gung ho to get them to go to Mandalore, and taking off before the battle makes her suspicious.

Axe Wolves going to get "help" during the battle makes little sense as who was he going to get help from? The only ship they landed with (one of those dumb tactical points things that I previously mentioned) left the surface and you supposedly cannot contact space from the ground. Plus pretty sure all of the away team was already there. Still probably hates Bo after losing command, but not sure when he had time before this to get on Gideon's payroll.

The survivors conveniently know about the forge, but not the secret Imperial base just 10 feet away? Seems suspect They are easiest to believe, but nothing they did outside of bringing the away team to the forge faster really screams spies. Then again, they level of subtlety of this series is sometimes lacking.

Yeah that's one thing I didn't understand. How would they not have a general idea of where the great forge is located on the planet? I guess maybe all the interference from the planet messed with their ability to get exactly where they wanted?

If you rewatch the scene where the armorer was flying back to the fleet, you’ll notice it’s super awkward between her and the pilot of the large ship. I don’t know if it was just acted weird but it didn’t feel right.

I was also on high alert for such things to see if they were tipping off the imperial fleet attack or something as well. Maybe just poorly acted lol
