I’ll back the Cyclones here. A win would put Iowa State at 5-1 in the Big 12 heading into a bye before hosting K-State in two weeks.

I envision this game being close throughout the first three quarters before the Cyclones tack on a score late to make it look more comfortable. Baylor’s offense has been poor so far this season, but the defense has been solid (in all facets besides stopping the run) despite how many players were lost from last year’s stellar group. Don’t be surprise if Breece Hall pushes the 200 yards mark again on the ground.

SO glad we have football...but gosh, isn't it wild, seems the last two years if it wasn't lightening, snowing, cold, etc. it was something...and this year the home game weather has been ideal.

I read that as staff picks Baylor, and I was thinking, those bastards!
Some of the narrative did seem like they think Baylor is the better team..."Iowa State has to play "at the top of its game" to avoid the upset. Baylor can't stop the run....bottom line. Iowa State runs the ball...which will open the pass up just fine. 35-14 Cyclones.

I get it though. As Campbell says repeatedly, we don't have a margin for error. We have to bring it each and every game.

Baylor struggles against the run - We have Breece Hall

Baylor struggles on offense - We have a stout Defense

Baylor generally sucks at life - We are just all around awesome

Therefore, Clones win big. Book it.

33-17, good guys.

We miss one field goal and one XP but make two field goals. Breece runs for 199 yards and 2 TDs.

We give up either a SPT or a Def TD.

Solid game overall.

If Baylor's weak link on defense is stopping the run, I imagine ISU will start with a rush-heavy plan, and succeed, early in the game, then decide to start passing 80% of the time, just for the heck of it ... but with less success.
