Stadium construction ...

What is the easy fix?

Sure, they could move the camera down to the proper (traditional) level, but would't that carve out some fan seating?
Meh, they dont seem to care about attendance there.

I have a very foggy recollection of Iowa State having some of the rotating student season tickets way back in the day behind the visitor section. The band also used to be on the end/corner right next to the visitor bench. I 'thought the Big 8 made us move those students and the Big 12 made us move the band away from the bench but I could be wrong.

In the early 80s students sat in both sections directly behind the visitors bench. General admission. On Saturdays they would often have women's/men's games played back to back. We'd show up during the women's game so that we could choose the choice seats near mid court. Then we'd play cards until the men's game started. There would be maybe 100 people in attendance for the women's game. It was a big deal when the men started drawing enough people that the upper deck was consistently used. By '83 or '84 the student tickets were so popular that they switched to rotating tickets so that one out of every 4 games you had those great seats in the two sideline sections. The other three games the seats got progressively worse. Not long after that they had to go to a lottery to distribute student tickets. The Johnny effect on attendance was amazing to see.

Haha, good point. Carve out as much prime seating area as they need to fix the camera angle. Brilliant.
It's all about being on TV, attendance doesn't count any more. That is the hot takes on the FB board.

All the more reason to fix the absurd camera angle in their new fieldhouse/pavilion.

I will be interesting to see how long Baylor tries to spin this the wrong way, rather than just biting the bullet and fixing it right away.

I have heard that take before too, even on this board. That attendance doesnt matter.

But attendance does matter, ISU makes quite a bit on game attendance too. Millions.

Also if a team cant fill the stands mostly if not completely on a regular basis, they are also not drawing enough interest to get people to watch on TV.

So for teams like Baylor that struggle to fill small venues they also will struggle to get a decent amount of Views on TV. Which when you put all things together, the value they bring is low.
