Do we even know for certain that we'll have some new uni's this fall?
I know one of the coaches (maybe Campbell himself?) said that we would, but then it came out sometime later that it was too late to make any changes for this fall with Nike.
So is there anything even official that we'll be seeing anything new or different at all? I'm sure Campbell would love to do it, he seems like someone that is on the cutting edge (music blaring all practice long, etc), but the last I heard was that it was too late?

I'm not sure the re-design concept of the swirl/twister is the work of Kagavi or Amestoplease; I thought it was Amestoplease, but am not sure now. Again, here it is, bottom pic is the re-design:

I really like the idea of a simple tornado like this. If you look at all the best known programs, they all have a simple logo. Not their name, not a super detailed birdnado, and I prefer not using text/letters. I think the one above (without the old school Iowa State text) is on par with the Texas Longhorn, Michigan State Spartan, and other simple, iconic logos.
I would be very surprised to see a change from the current logo. It appears it was brought out after quite a bit of research. A change to using it in the present marketing would seem taking a step back to me. For what it's worth, I like the current logo.
If the I-State were a stencil it would be simple, but in my opinion, anything two toned is not considered simple for a helmet logo. If the I-State were a simple stencil, I think it would look great as a helmet logo; also, as I've said before, we can keep the current two-toned I-State logo as our primary logo used in marketing and on the middle of the field and court, but use a secondary logo (tornado) on our helmets.
Good question. Really don't know. Referring to OP #1 in this thread, below... Beyond this, I'm not sure we really know. I guess they'll let us know when the time is right.
Agree. Still think the uni mock up with the Trice stripes on the pants and shoulders with the simple cyclone logo on the helmet were sharp, at least for an alternate uni.

If there is a white stripe on the helmet, there needs to be at least a tiny bit of white anywhere else on the uniform.
Agree. White outline around the numbers. We need to utilize white more to differentiate ourselves from USC more.
I just don't want to see red tops with white pants at home, that's too much white. Just white accents, or possibly at the most white numbers.
And what exactly is NSD, again?
Maybe I'll have to re-read this thread, but as far as I know (and I am out-of-State, so don't know much and not privy to local media, word of mouth, etc.) nothing has been said about new uni's this fall, am I right/wrong?
So I was wondering, when Chizik came in (was that 2008 or so?), didn't we get the current "USC-lookalikes" his first year here, or did we wait 'till his 2nd year? It wouldn't surprise me if we had to wait a year for any change.
His first year, 2007, we still had the bright red uniforms. It was his second year that we ripped off USC.
