...So does crack but in this case I am referring to Oklahoma State and the amount of speed they will put on the field this weekend! I have faith in our coaching staff to put together a game plan that will neutralize this advantage a little bit but at the end of the day I think it will be the difference that decides the game. Hopefully Okie State will make some mistakes and we can capitalize on those mistakes but until we get the speed some of our opponents have it will continue to cause us problems. I am confident that the coaching staff knows this and
are already addressing it with recruiting. Just imagine what our record might be if we had the same kind of speed and athleticism our opponents have!

Looking at the extended forecast, it actually looks to be a fairly decent week. And a great day on Saturday, as of right now Mostly sunny and 63. That'd be nice for tailgating and watching some fall football and should bring out a nice crowd.
I'm sure it will change.

Our lack of speed defensively has been a concern all year. Our defensive coaches have done a good job of putting our players in positions to be successful. Pass rush and containment on OSU,s QB will be the difference in Saturday's game.

I don't expect to win, but I'd like to see some fight. Having Austen back would be really, really big. While I think A-Rob is our best player, I think Austen is our most important offensively. Especially the way he was playing the last couple of games before the injury. It took him a while to get the system, but it appeared as if the light bulb had gone off. I'm sure the same would eventually happen for Tiller, but he's going through that process against better teams at a time where we REALLY need a win.

Can we seed some clouds west of Ames or just douse the field the night before?

I would not be surprised if Tiller takes over on third and long to throw. With a bad hand, it may cause some overthrows and interceptions on must pass downs.

I can get us a rainout

How bout Bo Williams with another 40 some yard run?

Just watched the Paul Rhoads show and saw the clip of Bo running...slick cut back, solid burst, and even a stiff arm before getting tackled. He looked like the fastest Cyclone RB on the roster.

First, is there anywhere I can find that clip of Bos run?

On the speed subject. It is great to have speed, but at the same time it doesn't matter how fast you get there if you are going the wrong place. Yes, speed can erase mistakes, but it sometimes creates them. We need more speed for sure, but the guys we get also have to know how to use it. What we need to do is find ways to use there speed against them when we have the ball. On defense, there is not much we can do besides play assignment football.

for iowa state to win we its going to come down to turnovers and if we can score on a consistent basis, we need to score 3 out of every 4 drives or it could be a long day
