Space X/NASA launch

Looks like some severe weather is moving through there now. Looks like a 60% chance it won't happen today unfortunately.

Imagine the adrenaline crash that these two guys and the whole team will have if this doesn't get to happen today.

I can’t see how they get this thing launched today?

I guess there are tornado warnings happening not too far from the launch pad. And no signs of the weather improving anytime soon.

Yeah it doesn't look too favorable for a launch today. But still 2 hrs away. So could improve.

What do we think about the new space suits these guys will be wearing?

I don't really like alternate uniforms. The helmets look too much like Penn State too.

for the uninitiated here is the weather good to go?

go no go weather wise will be known soon. They are still trying to decide.

It looks like it should be good around the launchpad, just depends on windspeed and random locations along the coast in case they have to abort the launch.

The entire rocket and capsule was made by SpaceX, Elon’s company.

Sounds like they will be basically running the show, with NASA only providing the launch site and will be there for backup as well.

Musk does admit he would have never gotten to this point without the help from NASA though.... mostly financial help.

Not trying to be political, but seems like sometimes a private/public partnership can really work wonders if done correctly.

Best channel to watch this on?

Nat Geo is doing a pretty good studio-style pregame, which appears to be coming from ABC News. But ABC isn't showing anything live on its own network currently.

Discovery and Science Channel are simulcasting, but it's more fluff and interviews.

1.2 million viewers now on Nasa's youtube live pre-launch show.
